Privacy Policy — Forget Me Not

Your reminders stay on your phone and are never sent anywhere. The free version of the app shows advertisements, and Google AdMob uses your device's advertising ID to choose them — that is the only thing about you that leaves the device, and buying Pro removes them.
What the app stores, and where
Your reminders — their titles, notes, times, repeat schedules and chosen sounds — are saved in a database on your own device. Your settings, such as your theme, quiet hours and defaults for new reminders, are stored on your device too.
None of it is sent anywhere. There is no account to sign in to, there is no server behind this app, and the developer has no way to see your reminders.
Backups
The app can write your reminders to a backup file. That file is created only when you ask for it, and it is saved to the location you choose using your phone's own file picker. The app does not upload it, and does not read it again unless you pick it yourself to restore from.
Where that file goes afterwards is up to you. If you save it into a cloud folder, that cloud service's own privacy policy applies to it.
If your phone's system backup is switched on, Android may include this app's data in the backup it makes to your Google account. That is a setting of your device and your Google account, not of this app.
Purchases
The app offers a single one-time purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. The app is told only whether the purchase exists on your Google account; it never sees your name, your card, your billing address or your email address, and it stores nothing about you except a yes-or-no record that the purchase was made.

Advertising
The free version of the app shows a banner advertisement in two places: at the bottom of the reminder list, and after the last row of the Past screen. They appear nowhere else — not on the screen that rings, not while you are writing a reminder. Buying Pro removes them.
The ads are served by Google AdMob. To choose and measure an ad, AdMob uses your device's advertising ID and technical information about the device, and Google may use it to show you personalised ads. This is the only information that leaves your phone, and your reminders are never part of it — the app does not send Google, or anyone else, what your reminders say, when they are due, or how many you have.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android's own settings, under Settings › Privacy › Ads. If you are in a region where consent is required, the app asks before any ad is requested, and you can change that answer later from Settings › Privacy › Ad privacy options inside the app.
Google's use of the data is covered by how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Analytics and tracking
There are none. The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting and no third-party tracking beyond the advertising described above.

Apart from the advertising ID, none of these is used to gather information about you.
Children
The app is not directed at children. Ads shown in it are restricted to the "General audiences" content rating, and no information is collected from anyone beyond the advertising ID described above.
Deleting your data
Deleting a reminder removes it from your phone. Uninstalling the app removes everything it has stored. Because nothing is ever sent anywhere, there is nothing else to delete and no request that needs to be made.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.
